So What Exactly Is Paisley Pig?

If I were to choose a place which contributes to my well-being and makes my soul come alive, it would be that quirky, eclectic shop at 1904 2nd Avenue North.

There is something magical about not only what happens once you step inside, but also the artisans coming together to share ideas, and pieces of themselves, and where customers return time after time to experience that feeling of coming home.

Within those walls, it’s like dreaming with your eyes wide open.

It’s not every day a girl gets to hang out with two handsome men and be on television!

Story time…

In late November, I received a phone call from Fred Hunter, who hosts Absolutely Alabama on Fox 6. He told me that one of my customers called him and suggested he visit Paisley Pig and that he would not be disappointed. Well, today Fred stopped by!

When I tell you that I, along with all the Paisley Pig artisans, were OVER THE MOON excited about today, I am not exaggerating. Many of us were at the shop until 2am this morning making sure every square inch of the shop was the epitome of Christmas decor perfection- and it was!

I invited Kenneth Gulley, Mayor of Bessemer , to join us. Along with the fact that his wife is a fabulous customer, he also truly supports the small businesses in the Bessemer community, and I wanted him to have an opportunity to talk about downtown Bessemer.

That one phone call from a customer made today possible is such a beautiful compliment. All of us at Paisley Pig take immense pride in our work - and have a fabulous time doing it. Our customers mean everything to us, we wouldn’t be here without you.

So, to Fred Hunter, Fox 6, all the Paisley Pig Artisans, our loyal customers and to my biggest cheerleader, my sweet momma, thank you.
